Core Safety Rules for Helpers
This is a non-negotiable safety requirement. Under no circumstances should you enter the home, garage, shed, or any enclosed structure belonging to the person you are helping.
- Remain outside at all times during work activities
- Decline all invitations to enter a residence, regardless of the reason
- If you need water, rest, or restroom access, return to your own home or a public facility
- If anyone insists you enter, leave immediately and report the incident
Before accepting any bounty, verify the details and plan your route. Let someone know where you're going.
- Only accept bounties from verified accounts when possible
- Check the address on a map before heading out
- Share your location with a trusted friend or family member
- Set an expected return time with someone who can check on you
If something feels wrong, it probably is. You can always decline or leave a job without penalty.
- Never feel obligated to complete a job that makes you uncomfortable
- Leave immediately if the situation changes or feels unsafe
- Report suspicious behavior through the app
- Keep your phone charged and accessible at all times
Additional Safety Requirements
Safety for Bounty Posters
Provide accurate and detailed information about the work needed to avoid misunderstandings.
- Be specific about what work needs to be done
- Include accurate photos of the work area
- Specify any tools or equipment that will be provided
- Set realistic time expectations
Never invite helpers inside your home. All work should be conducted outdoors or in visible public areas.
- Keep all interactions in outdoor or public spaces
- Do not ask helpers to run errands inside stores or facilities
- Provide necessary items (water, tools) outside
Pay fairly and promptly for completed work. This builds community trust.
- Offer fair compensation for the work requested
- Pay immediately upon completion through the app
- Leave honest reviews to help the community
Guidelines for Minors & Parents
All users under 18 must have parental consent and should be supervised when helping strangers.
- Parents must approve and set up accounts for minors
- A trusted adult should accompany minors when helping people they don't know
- Helping known neighbors (with parent approval) may not require supervision
Before any volunteer activity, minors must inform their parents:
- Where: The exact address of the bounty
- Who: The name of the bounty poster
- When: Expected departure and return times
- With Whom: Any friends or adults accompanying them
