Early life and education
Lucas grew up across the Midwest and East Coast before returning to Indiana, where his passion for computers caught the attention of teachers. He began leading peer-to-peer computer science lessons while still a student. He earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Indiana University, where he developed a focus on creating internal tools and specialty systems. He believes strongly in communication between employees and developers to build software that truly helps.Grew up across Midwest/East Coast. B.A. Computer Science from Indiana University. Career
IT and technology
Lucas began his professional journey as an IT technician at Indiana University South Bend (IUSB), where he worked across classroom support, the support center, and networking and telecommunications. He performed Level 1, 2, and 3 IT roles, including computer building, system imaging, and delivery. He provided direct technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students. Lucas has hands-on experience with physical networking infrastructure—cabling, switches, and routers. He is passionate about creating solutions that make organizations more efficient and believes in listening to employees' needs to build better tools.IT technician at Indiana University South Bend. In addition to his technical background, Lucas is an avid photographer and videographer, documenting his travels and experiences through various media. He enjoys UI/UX design and mixed media art, bringing a creative perspective to his technical projects.

Lucas has completed three solo backpacking trips, starting at age 19, traveling to 7+ countries including Germany, Costa Rica, and Hungary. He documents his travels through photography, videography, and writing. Outside of work, he enjoys gaming with friends, spending time with family, and the occasional chocolate milk.
